TREETOP WALKING
Deep Into Nature
High among 300 year-old oak trees, up to 50 feet above the ground,
get ready for an experience like no other. Explore the beauty
and wildlife of the picturesque forest valley at the top of Blue
Mountain , as you become one with the birds.
Your 2 hour journey begins with gear outfitting (all provided
for you) and introduction to your instructor.
You'll begin your journey across 10 inch wide bridges suspended as close to
the treetops as possible , then experience an incredible ride on a series of
4 zip lines, ranging from 80 to 1000 feet in length.
Tours are conducted in intimate groups of 10 people, with the
assistance of 2 qualified instructors per group. Tours run regularly
throughout the day, year round, and in almost all weather conditions.
Balancing Act
Of course it is absolutely safe, but the excitement of being so
high above the ground overlooking the huge vistas of space, gives
a physical experience unlike anything else. The sway of the bridge
and cables
causes
you to constantly re-adjust your balance, and
you become aware of your own courage. Treetop walking certainly
delivers a thrill.
Twenty Thousand Leaves Under the Tree
Look down on a fully grown tree from a privileged point of view.
A point which reveals the geometry of the tree and speaks of a
hidden order that is not comprehensible from the ground. It is
truly a new way to understand how a tree looks and the wonder of
its long existence. Scenic Caves Guides are also professionally
trained to deliver you lots of interesting facts about the flora,
fauna, ecology and history of the area.
The zip lines and treetop bridges were designed and developed
to stand in harmony with the natural and cultural environment,
conserving local plant and wildlife.
What to Wear and Bring
- Scenic Caves Nature Adventures provides each adventurer
with harness, helmet, gloves and zip line pulley.
- Hiking boots or athletic type footwear must be
worn.
- Dress for the day's weather, bearing in mind that
the weather can change quickly and unexpectedly
