How to HuntScavenger Hunt Prize Box

The Scavenger Hunt challenges you to explore some of the key locations, lookouts and features of Scenic Caves.

The adventure leads you on a journey along a well-marked path all the way to the Suspension Bridge (roughly 1 km. return).

If you’re up for a longer hike, head up to the final two spots – Lookout Point and Thunderbird Tower. The views at the highest point of the Niagara Escarpment are incredible. (roughly an additional 1 km.)

Depending on the weather conditions, lace up your hiking boots, strap on your snowshoes and layer your clothing.

Scavenger Hunt Map 2017Pick up a Scavenger Hunt map at the main cabin and hunt for clues. The stars on the map mark the locations.  Keep an eye open for the sign markers.  There are interesting facts to read about at each location.

Circle the clue on the items with the marker provided, bring your sheet back to the main cabin, then pick a treat from the Treasure Box.

There are no time pressures, no skill-testing questions.

Just lots of fun for all ages and prizes to be won.

Scenic Caves Nature Adventures is situated at the highest point of the Niagara Escarpment, set in one of Canada’s sixteen UNESCO biosphere reserves featuring spectacular lookouts and panoramic views of south Georgian Bay.  It’s a “superbly natural” location to scavenger  hunt for clues on the property.
