On Saturday, March 2nd, 2013 NordicFest, Ontario’s cross country ski and snowshoe festival returns to Scenic Caves Nordic Centre in the Town of Blue Mountains!

Join hundreds of outdoor enthusiasts, weekend warriors, beginner and expert skiers and snowshoers alike, families and the entire Get Out There Magazine team for a fun – and inexpensive – day on the trails. Test the latest skis and snowshoes from major manufacturers, participate in fun activities like our snowman making contest, enjoy free hot chocolate and apple cider all day in our warm-up chalet and enjoy the spectacular escarpment trails at one of Ontario’s premiere Nordic destinations!

Planning on attending NordicFest this year? Why not make it a weekend? Enjoy the nightlife at Blue Mountain and on Sunday go downhill skiing or check out the Scandinave Spa! Bringing the kids? The Plunge Aquatic Centre will be a big hit!

We look forward to seeing you there!

For the second year NordicFest will play host to The Yeti Snowhoe Race!

Looking for a new challenge? Why not try a Yeti snowshoe race at Scenic Caves. Fun for the whole family. A great way for runners to stay in shape and challenge themselves through the winter. We’ll have a 5km Sport Course and a 10 km Enduro course. There is also kids race starting at 9:45 am. Lots of great prizes from Mountain Equipment Co-Op, Atlas snowshoes and more.
