Construction is complete for the half mile, twin zip line that will take you from the top of the escarpment to the valley below. The tree tops will whiz by you, the scenery of Collingwood, the Blue Mountains and Georgian Bay all right in front of you….amazing as you soar like a Thunderbird!

Two things distinguish the ZipTour® from every other zip line product: they build the biggest ride spans in the world, and the patented “dynamically-controllable” ZipTour® trolley allows the rider to control their zip line ride speed. There are many zip line options around the globe but, until now, there has never been the technology in place that allows the participant to control their own speed and enjoy a moment suspended over the Escarpment to enjoy the view.

Putting the zip line experience in your hands….

Guests begin with a short training session and introduction to the ZipTour® equipment at the Look Out at the rustic cabin nearby the Thunderbird Nest.

Now it’s time for the big show!

Riders are now at the take-off platform and getting ready for the half mile ride down over the escarpment and the valley below. Now the adrenaline really begins to pump, as you leave the 50’ tower of the Thunderbird Nest.

Riders are surrounded by one of the best views in southern Georgian Bay. On clear days, you will see Collingwood, Wasaga, even Christian Island and beyond. The ride is a kaleidoscope of passing scenery beginning above the treetops and flying where only the birds go.

With side-by-side cables for the entire ride and rider-controlled ZipTour® trolleys, experiencing the ride with friends and family is an incredible experience! You’ll have to see it to believe it… the Thunderbird Twin Zip Line at the Scenic Caves Nature Adventures.

Please note:

1. All guests must sign a waiver; in the case of youths under 18, a parent or guardian must sign the waiver
2. All guests must pass a short training session before getting access to the Thunderbird

Min Age: All Thunderbird riders must be at least 10 years old. Children from 10-15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Height Requirements: Min height is 48” (4 feet). Max height is 82” (6’10”)

Weight Restrictions: Min weight 50 pounds. Max weight 260 pounds.
