Scenic Caves Ground Maintenance

All Scenic Caves Ground Maintenance stall will report to the Scenic Caves Grounds Manager and Scenic Caves Manager.

Job Overview:

In this seasonal role which begins in the early spring and last until late fall you will be responsible for maintaining the lawns, trails, walkways and roadways of Scenic Caves Nature Adventure. Your duties are listed below. Over the course of a successful day you will ensure that all assigned tasks are done in a timely manner and that you have delivered customers experiences that are beyond what our guests had expected in a friendly and outgoing way. Maintaining the grounds and trails, equipment’s and buildings are the top priorities for this role. Must be able to work alternate weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily tasks are required and assigned including but not limited to cutting grass, safe operation of equipment, maintaining equipment and infrastructure, building maintenance, inspecting trails, moving inventory and cleaning up outdoor spaces.
  • On-going safe operation of ATV’s and tractors.
  • Collect and empty garbage receptacles.
  • On-going handling of radio communications.
  • Interacting with guests, all day long.
  • Parking lot capacity.
  • Other tasks assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid driver’s licence
  • Conscientious and safety minded
  • Energized by a fast-paced working environment

Scenic Caves Trail’s End Supervisor

Scenic Caves has a custom built 24-foot, state of the art food trailer as well as an outdoor freezer/fridge unit. This unit is the main food sales and distribution outlet for the park. The Scenic Caves Food Trailer Supervisor will report to the Scenic Caves Manager and the Assistant Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the menu and the associated inventory to ensure we are always providing exceptional choices for our guests.
  • Lead the team by ensuring staffing levels fit the predicted volumes and that staff are well trained and great at their jobs.
  • Ensure that the venue is always clean, in excellent working order at all times.
  • Ensure that proper health and safety measures are being followed for the food venue.
  • Adjust the menu offerings in a way that allows for maximization of demand, experience and profitability.
  • Assist the management team in making sure all of our staff are familiar with our Service Standards and Guiding Principles and that they are trained and prepared to deliver the guest experiences we have promised.
  • Opening and closing the venue as required, on a daily basis.
  • Sales, cash management and customer service.
  • Cash out, balance and reporting the daily numbers.
  • Coach, encourage, lead and motivate our staff at all times.
  • End of day clean-up & prep for next day is easy because the venue has been kept exceptionally clean all day long.
  • Season opening and closing procedures are well documented and executed.

Qualifications:

  • Appropriate kitchen experience, supervising others in the creation of high-quality food, quickly while also interfacing with the guest.
  • Confident and organized person who enjoys working with a team and is energized by working in a fast pace environment that requires multi-tasking.
  • Personable, positive, upbeat, responsible, dependable, trustworthy and have appropriate time management skills.
  • A Valid food handlers certificate
  • Some experience with product ordering and inventory is preferred

Seasonal Position mid-spring to mid-fall. Wage $17.50-$20 per hour.

Scenic Caves Supervisor

The Scenic Caves Supervisor will report to the Scenic Caves Manager and the Assistant Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team in selling.
  • Daily park entrance and up-selling other activities and retail product.
  • Selling and preparing food and beverage items through our multiple locations.
  • Assist the management team in making sure all of our staff are familiar with our Service Standards and Guiding Principles and that they are trained and prepared to deliver the guest experiences we have promised.
  • Opening and closing the operation as required, on a daily basis.
  • Cash out, balance and reporting the daily numbers.
  • Coach, encourage, lead and motivate our staff at all times.
  • Promptly and pleasantly answer phone calls and emails and check for phone messages in the office often. Return these messages ASAP.
  • End of day clean-up & prep for next day is easy because the lodge and grounds have been kept exceptionally clean all day long.
  • Manage the inventory and merchandising so that our gift shop is always set up properly.

Experience:

  • 2 years’ experience in a sales and service role in the tourism industry.
  • Confident and organized person who enjoys working with a team and is energized by working in a fast pace environment that requires multi-tasking.
  • Personable, positive, upbeat, responsible, dependable and trustworthy.
  • Full Time Seasonal in green season.

  • Enjoys team work, instructs & assists guests with Zipline operations
  • Maintenance experience an asset (basic handyman skills)
  • Most positions require strength, fitness and must be relatively tall
